The global effects of recession have resulted to numerous setbacks worldwide. Conflicts among nations, particularly the war against terrorism, worsen the situation. Fluctuating oil prices, increased unemployment rates, retrenchment of employees, high incidences of hunger, famine and suicide and the rising cases of new diseases have affected thousands of people globally. Some are very depressed about what life would be because of these crises.

I personally think there is still hope despite these global problems. Some analysts predict that the years to come would still have a gloomy forecast and many countries will continue experiencing job cuts and austerity measures, but I guess life is all that. With these, I fear how should we go about these difficult times. Certainly, no one knows what will happen in the future, but I can only hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Individually, what we can do now is to take advantage of what we have. Frowning all day and thinking negative thoughts will surely be a dead end. As long as I live, I know there is hope in everything. Although I may have limited resources, lacking something does not mean I cannot breathe, think, move or enjoy life.
A family that prays together stays together. It is a healthy attitude to keep a closer communication with my family as my reliable partner and work out things on how to maximize our finances. I avoid too much spending. I plan my budget wisely and have a checklist of my priorities to get the best value for my money.
I always set my mind that all these things will come to pass. Getting depressed is only in the mind. If I focus my attention to other things like cleaning my house, planning for a healthy menu, studying hard to get good grades in school or probably working hard to improve my job performance can drive me away from moments of depression.
Aside from clearing my mind from negative thoughts, I also communicate my thoughts to my family or friends. Support groups are my outlets whenever I feel down or troubled.
Also, I never deprive myself to enjoy and smile for the happy moments I experience each day. Many ways can be done to pacify my tense muscles to get rid of my worries.
